If your website was built by TrueWeb Media, it’s powered by WordPress and likely uses Elementor for design and layout. Whether you’re updating blog posts, editing services, managing team members, or adjusting your homepage, this guide will show you how to do it with confidence.

1. Logging In to WordPress

To get started:

  • Visit: yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

  • Use the login info provided by TrueWeb Media.

  • Once logged in, you’ll be in the WordPress Dashboard.

2. WordPress Dashboard Overview

Here’s what you’ll typically see and use:

  • Pages – Standard website pages like Home, About, Contact.

  • Posts – For blog articles (if your site has a blog).

  • Media – All your uploaded images and files.

  • Custom Post Types – These could be:

    • Projects / Portfolio

    • Services

    • Testimonials

    • Team Members

    • (These vary depending on your site.)

💡 Don’t worry about posts vs custom post types. They all work the same way—just labeled differently.

3. Editing Pages with Elementor

Elementor is the visual builder used to design most parts of your site.

To edit a page:

  1. Go to Pages > All Pages.

  2. Hover over the page and click Edit with Elementor.

  3. Elementor will open a live preview of your page.

  4. Click on any text, image, or section to edit it.

  5. Drag new elements in from the sidebar (like images, buttons, text).

  6. Click the green Update button when done.

Save regularly to avoid losing changes.

4. Editing Blog Posts or Custom Content

Depending on your site setup, you might see different sections in the left menu.

To edit a blog post:

  • Go to Posts > All Posts

  • Click a post to edit

  • Make your changes and click Update

To edit a custom post type (like Services or Portfolio):

  • Go to the relevant section in the dashboard (e.g., Services > All Services)

  • Click the item you want to change

  • Update the text, image, or content fields

  • Click Update to save

  • Go to Posts > Add New

  • Click Publish

To add or update images on your site:

  • Go to Media > Add New

When editing with Elementor:

  • Click an image

7. Updating Menus

Menus help visitors navigate your site.

To update your menu:

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus
